Vern brings passion to everything he does.  His positive spirit and encouraging attitude set the tone in our gym.  He loves working with these young men and can’t wait to get to the next practice and tournament.  His passion for the sport has flowed into his 3 sons.  Amazingly, in 2017 he played at Palomar Junior College, Vern and his 2 sons played on the same team together. 

        He loves to play on the beach and is willing to play with whomever and whenever.  He is always there when we need him.  When not coaching or playing volleyball, Vern and his wife Ruth run their own plumbing company, Pipes Plumbing.
